Hello again
It was mom's Birthday today. 85 years old and looks 70. Clear wrinkle free skin. Thanks to continuously applying lotion. Her daily spa treatment
Since it was or is Thanksgiving here in Canada. I made mom a special combination dinner. Stuffed Cornish game hen with a Asian pear, onion and mushroom stuffing. A Honey Orange reduction to based the bird with. Brussels sprouts. Extra stuffing on the side. I didn't make potatoes, as there is always potatoes served.. Ice cream and her fruit and chocolate for dessert. Mom ate most of it. I just love it when mom enjoys her dinners.
The honey orange reduction. Well it reduced. It is a paste now. With extreme taste.
Then mom was tired. So I quickly got her changed for bed. The care aid came in and put her to bed. And as soon as I got back to the room. The quick version of the spa treatment. It is the same as the slower version. I just don't take my time. Mom is bending her legs more and more.
The music was playing, I thanked mom for the opportunity to cook for her. It is always a pleasure making mom special meals. And cooking her meal everyday. If I didn't have mom to cook for, I think my skills would be lost. But none the less, I thanked her for allowing me to cook for her.
She was full and relaxed. What more could you ask for. I stood and held her hand until it was time to leave.
Then our good night song and kisses and off I went.
