Hello again
I am so glad I have chosen to take the time to look after my mother. The best decision I have ever made...
Just knowing that mom trusts me like she does.
Mom knows my touch and is trusting of it. Her reaching out for my hand and wanting to hold it all the time is proof enough that I am doing the right thing.
Just standing there as she holds my hand and falls asleep.
Allowing me to get her ready for bed and helping out as well as she can.
I know my has her problems. I don't treat her as if she is not there. I know mom understands me, but the stroke took her speech away.
Watching her relax as I give her the daily spa treatment.
Knowing what she is saying without a word being spoken.
Taking the time and being patient.
This is what she needs.
