Hello again
Well it is the same crap but a different day. I mentioned that the doctor put mom on a different medication for her stiffness. I don't agree with it. But thought lets give it a try. And it turns out that it is just as bad on mom as the Lorazapam. It is making her tired and with this comes the slow chewing and not swallowing. Chewing and chewing, even soft food. And then not swallowing the food.
After mom was removed from the Lorazapam, and the medicine had time to leave her system, mom was fine with her chewing and shallowing. As the medicine was leaving her system, the better she became.
Now this drug. OK I tried to find the name in my emails, but couldn't. So I will let you know another day. Now this drug has similar side effects of the other one. But the other side effects are worse.
This is a huge issue. You say I wish to speak with the doctor about other medication we might try and they go ahead and just put her on something else without even consulting you, me. You understand. The RN was busy when I was leaving. These two women who are trying to get out all the time. They are quick, They have to watch them when people are getting on and off of the elevator. So I will be speaking with the RN as soon as I arrive tomorrow. Has to be done. And I will not allow any other medication to be given to mom, first without discussing it with me.
I will have to write the Mayo Clinic or John's Hopkins and get some information from them to give to the doctor. Or maybe I might just phone them. Great cell phone plan. I can call all over North America, without paying for long distance.
Now the other thing. I arrived to find mom leaning again. I have mentioned that when mom is leaning, she usually has a full diaper. I tried to finds someone to change her. I mean I would of undressed her and put her nightgown on, but I needed the care aid to put her into bed and change her diaper.
Could not find them. So mom had to sit in dirty diapers for the entire meal. I was not positive if she did have to be changed. I found out soon enough. And what I found out was they just put a towel beside her to prop her up. Don't you think when they did this they would of noticed the smell. But oh no. To freaken lazy. As soon as dinner was done and I went to change mom, I noticed the smell and when I went to remove her undershirt, the bottom of the undershirt was full of poop. So I push the buzzer and a few minutes later the care aid came in. I told her what needed to be done.
Her response was. I am on my break. I just stated that I looked for someone before dinner, could find you. One of you just put a towel beside her to prop her up and would of noticed the smell. And thirdly, if you don't do it now, I will be doing it.
As a matter of fact, when I arrive and I notice mom like this. I am just going to take her down to her room and change her myself. I will be letting them know tomorrow.
OK I am done. I wanted to clean a chair I have. A nice queen Ann chair. I am washing the cushion cover now, for the second time. I just didn't have something, soft enough with bristles to clean it with. The dollar store her I come tomorrow.
